Why Isn't Beetle Baily in Iraq?

If you ask me, Beetle Baily is just as bad as the draft-dodging Bill Clinton. If he really loved this country, he would be in Iraq! Sarge should be in Iraq, too! And his little dog with a uniform, he should be sniffing out mines. All of these characters in the funny papers are telling kids that it is ok to not be in Iraq. What this country needs is more kids thinking it is a good idea to go to Iraq. Heck, we need to replace the ones that can't fight any more.

Beetle Baily is a beloved character in the comic section of my newspaper, the Kansas City Star. I think that if he were in Iraq, it wouldn't be funny. It is supposed to be a funny comic.

This time you have gone too far. You are always pushing the envelope, but this time you have gone too far. Beetle Baily is, as that other lady said, "beloved." We can't risk sending him to Iraq.

I think the light of history shines poorly upon our "hero" Beatle Baily. If you check comic archives on the internet, you will find, as I did, that Beatle Baily was not in Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Grenada, Haiti, Panama, Vietnam, Korea, or WW2.

Stick to your guns, Porcupine Taxi, Beatle Baily is a coward. The world should know.

Did you ask the writer of Beetle Baily why he doesn't go to Iraq? I think a good compromise would be to send him to Afghanistan, after all Afghanistan supported the people who attacked us, while Iraq never attacked us.
