Tom Tancredo Shows Class
Tom Tancredo is the only Republican running for president who refused to participate in that sham of a Mexican slam, the Univision Presendential Forum in Spanish. Cudos to him. This is America! We didn't kick the Mexicans' ass in a war so that they could take over our country. If they want to vote, tell them what Tom said: "Learno Englisho!"

...oh, and you forgot to mention how he doesn't have a chance. See, the problem many people like him have is thinking that if you speak Spanish natively, you must be illegal. I think by the fact they vote (read-citizens), it probably means they are worth trying to reach out to. Unless you are the type who thinks being American is being white (which I don't think you seem like that). English should be the national language, but that doesn't mean we have to ignore those who understand another language better. I would go as far as saying that practicing democracy by voting makes you more American than understanding English perfectly. Especially if we are asking for their votes...
I guess if they are legal voters we could offer to teach them English. They won't learn it if we translate everything. I will sacrifice a few votes. If we put our ballots only in English, our candidates will win.

I didn't realize so many Mexicans read my blog. Hey, I don't object to you voting for the president of Mexico. That is your right. But you people like Hilda, Pete, and "Conehead" must surely understand that America didn't become such a great place to live because Mexicans were voting. It became great because Americans were voting...In English!
